Engineering Services

Engineering Services is the busiest it has ever been. With a remit to support all of our operations and huge projects underway, including new and expanded oil refineries and gas plants, now is the perfect opportunity for ambitious professionals to join.

Engineering Services is made up of separate teams with key responsibilities. Read on to find out what each area does and how you could play your part.

Environmental Planning

Working here means you’ll act as the environmental consultant to Saudi Aramco departments, as well as our partners and stakeholders – championing programs and initiatives that will ensure we comply with all environmental regulations/standards.

Facilities Planning

Professionals who join us here provide vital planning expertise to ensure the successful delivery of large-scale, cutting-edge, and billion dollar projects. Join us and you’ll also enjoy board-level exposure as you produce feasibility studies and present them to our management committee.

Process & Control Systems

In this specialist advisory role, you’ll join an expert consultancy team providing process and control systems support for our range of projects currently in development.

Consulting Services

Inspection

Professionals who join us here deal with the entire life cycle of our assets by executing inspection functions covering global procurement, construction and operations.

Capital Program & Efficiency Department

Our newly created Capital Program Efficiency Department (CEPD) is vital to achieving our vision for the future. With a remit that covers conducting value assurance reviews and providing portfolio execution planning, as well as implementing and supporting our Capital Management System, this department calls for professionals from a range of backgrounds and skill sets. This includes everything from project management and risk management, to planning, estimating, scheduling, and forecasting.

Mega Projects

  • The Midyan Gas Plan construction is well underway and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2016.
  • Our Wasit Gas Plant is one of the largest nonassociated gas plants we have ever built. At the year-end of 2014, construction was 91% complete and the plant is scheduled for start-up in 2015.
  • Currently being planned is the South Dhahran project– a mixed-use community that includes around 8,500 homes, parks, schools, mosques, recreation centers, a health clinic, and commercial districts.
  • As part of the Jazan Economic City project, we’ve been entrusted to deliver a new airport and a 660km Jazan-Jeddah coastal railway.

Project Management

Project Management is vital to our vision. Here, you’ll oversee the entire lifecycle of billion dollar mega projects – whether that’s the world’s largest oil refinery, gas pipelines that cross an entire region, or new housing for thousands of employees. Working for Saudi Aramco, you’ll also support the Saudi Arabian government by developing the programs that nurture innovation, inspire Saudi Arabia’s young people, and strengthen education, especially in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

In 2014, we commissioned a new 30-inch, 400km pipeline with a capacity of 310,000 bpd, to link the Dhahran Bulk Plant with the North Riyadh Bulk Plant.

Materials Supply

With increased investment in construction and development projects, our Materials Supply department becomes even more important. Its role is to oversee procurement and supply chain for our entire business at Saudi Aramco – making sure that all materials and services procured through manufacturers, suppliers and contractors meet high quality standards and are competitively priced.

As well as dealing with a variety of multimillion dollar projects, joining us here means having the opportunity to network with some of the world’s biggest companies.
