Our upstream research focuses on reservoir engineering, computational modeling, production, drilling, geophysics, and geology. It’s our Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center – Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC) that makes it happen – delivering significant breakthroughs in seismic measurement, simulation, and visualization to increase our ability to recover precious hydrocarbon resources.
Meanwhile, in downstream we deliver cutting-edge technology to improve the production value chain – from discovery and recovery to processing and delivery. Our state-of-the-art R&D Center is a playground for our professionals’ imaginations. Exploring improved energy efficiency, cleaner fuels, and reduced carbon emissions, the team develops new processes and applications to improve carbon utilization, such as low-cost technologies for CO2 capture and new methods to convert CO2 into valuable chemical intermediates.
