My name is Simone, I work as a Lab Scientist at the Research and Development Centre, I have been working for Saudi Aramco for 4 years and I am originally from Bergamo which is in the North of Italy.

My role is to support production and improve their process control to the development of new ideas and concepts that are not available commercially and this is something really unique for me as a scientist to be so close to the production facilities.

One of the most interesting things I have done since I joined Saudi Aramco was to carry out field test of a chemical formulation both onshore and offshore commuting by helicopter through platforms in the Arabian Gulf. I like very much the fact that I can bridge the gap between the development of the idea to the actual field test and the production facilities. What I like very much of my job is that as a scientist I am asked to answer questions that haven’t been answered yet. I like very much outdoor activities, me and my wife love to spend time at the beach.

Looking at the 4 years I’ve been working for Saudi Aramco, so full of challenges, I really feel I could stay the rest of my career here. I am really glad that I decided to apply for a position in Saudi Aramco and now as a scientist I am really happy to be part of such a great company.
