My name is Carlos, I’m a Planning and Program Co-ordinator. I’ve been here already for 6 months and I’m from Lisbon, Portugal.

My main tasks are getting all the information necessary from the departments we have now in our region and we prepare the information, because we are in the middle of the flow of information, so we need to get business cases to pass it to the strategic decision of our management.

Well, I have the rare opportunity to be in Saudi Aramco, that gives me the long-term prospective on the oil and energy business in the region and in the world.

One of the first things I discussed with my wife was exactly the kids not speaking English… but after a few months from when they arrived, they’re already starting to correct me. So the language will not be an obstacle. I live in Udhailiyah, which is more known as the city of flowers and Saudi Aramco recreations fills the year with activities for the families.

Well, I’m Portuguese and Portugal is known as the country of the explorers. I’m now here working with Saudi Aramco - gives me the opportunity to discover the Gulf countries and the Asian countries, which is something I’ve liked to do, since forever.

Moving from a new country is always a new challenge but the people are so helpful and friendly, that settling is so easy. Should you ask me ‘Should I move to Saudi Aramco?’ I’d say ‘Definitely, it’s a good decision.’
